A 25-year-old Maryville resident was sentenced on child pornography charges.
According to Nodaway County Prosecuting Attorney, Robert Rice, Austin Michael Reed was found guilty of possession of child pornography - a class B felony.
Possession of child pornography is a Tier 1 sex offense that requires registration as a sex offender for 15 years, though it can be reduced to 10 years if certain good conduct measures are met.
Reed was sentenced to 6 years in prison with the Missouri Department of Corrections.
